ASALEM is situated directly on the spectacular Bay of Abraão. Our proximity to the ocean offers rare, intimate glimpses of sea creatures such as starfish and turtles. The forest brings frequent visitors, including monkeys, fireflies, blue butterflies, and a wide variety of exotic tropical birds. Asalem is deliberately rustic, we favor the magic of candlelight. We are located closer to the village of Abraão (8 minutes by taxi-boat) but at the same time we are secluded, surrounded by the forest. Asalem is at the best location of all Abraão Bay to view the sunset and yes, that is the time we serve our special Happy Hour’s caipirinhas.
